The iOS Sidekick application provides a means for artists and animators to integrate ARKit facial capture data with VR avatars within the VR MocapFusion environment. The app streams facial expression blendshape data directly to VR MocapFusion, enabling real-time face tracking for avatar animation. When combined with SteamVR full-body tracking, users can capture comprehensive motion data, including facial expressions, which can subsequently be exported to 3D software such as Blender. The application also supports live streaming of facial capture during performances, with multiple plugins available for integration into platforms like Unreal Engine, Unity, and Blender.
